Pantone’s Color of the Year 2017
Is Inspired By Nature
By iWoman Editorial Team
Last year’s harmonious duo boasted soothing qualities with their soft and pale hues: Serenity and Rose Quartz. And this year, it’s Greenery! A fresh and zesty yellow-green shade that evokes the first days of spring when nature’s greens revive, restore and renew. Greenery is symbolic of new beginnings. It signals consumers to take a deep breath, oxygenate and reinvigorate.
What is the PANTONE Color of the Year?
A refreshing and revitalizing shade of Green.
According to Leatrice Wiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, “Greenery bursts forth in 2017 to provide us with the reassurance we yearn for amid a tumultuous social and political environment.” She added, “satisfying our growing desire to rejuvenate and revitalize, Greenery symbolizes the reconnection we seek with nature, one another and a larger purpose.”
Greenery is nature’s neutral. Because people are too much immersed in modern life, they are yearning to immerse themselves in the physical beauty of the natural world. This year’s Pantone color regenerates, refreshes, revitalizes and renews — it is something to look forward to.”
Now that Pantone has decreed that Greenery is the color of the year for 2017, all we can do is think of ways to splash the color. Here’s how to wear Greenery
